Congrats to my friends, Mitchell & Natalie Moore, on their grand re-opening of Campbell’s Bakery on State Street in Fondren! I was honored to be invited to display some Easely Amused paintings & I painted a HUGE “Orange Crush” for their cute little lounge area! Please swing by and check out the bakery— it is adorable and the treats are TO DIE FOR…I super love the caramel blondie and Mitchell’s famous cheesecake!
OK, EA Fans, wanna chance to win a new iPad?!
We’re teaming up with What’s Around Town (a local magazine) & they’ve given us 7 slots in the final March 31st drawing for a new iPad! We’ll have a preliminary drawing on March 28 and a lucky 7 will go into WAT’s final drawing!
How do you qualify?
They want to know your favorite thing about EA -a painting, teacher, memory, whatever!!! Head over to www.whatofacebook.com (just click on the WAT logo here!) and post EASELY AMUSED & your comment on THEIR facebook wall!
We’ll let you know the lucky 7 on March 28th that will be representing EA in the final drawing for the iPad on March 31! We have GREAT odds as there will be a maximum of 30 people in the final drawing for the iPad!!!
I want one of y’all to win it so comment away!

For St. Patrick’s Day, I am excited to release our newest cross painting…”Rock of Ages.” This cross has at its center the cross of St. Bridget (a follower of St. Patrick in Ireland in the 6th century). Just as the shamrock is associated with St. Patrick, so is the tiny cross made of rushes linked to St. Bridget. While sharing the life of Christ with an ailing pagan, she would weave a cross from the rushes strewn about the floor. They are still made in Ireland today and hung in homes in honor of St. Bridget’s ministry.

(Personal fact: My family is Irish and I am named for St. Bridget, my father is Patrick;) I have a cross of St. Bridget, that my dad gave me, hanging in my kitchen.)
I named this cross “Rock of Ages,” after Sandra McCracken’s version of the song. If you have not heard her version, I highly recommend downloading ASAP! She is one of my favorite singers and this song is amazingly beautiful…I can rarely get through the lyrics “who am I that you would die to make me free” without tears! (While you’re downloading also get “In the Secret of His Presence”— actually just get the whole album- “The Builder and the Architect”!)
We are honored to have been voted one of the best places to host a shower or party for the second year! We LOVE partying with you all!
Check out the Jackson Free Press issues around town now (or click on the cover to the left to go to the online flipbook) and PLEASE continue supporting all of our AWESOME local businesses!
Thank you, Jackson!

Join us as we “craft for a cause!”
The girls from HOTHEADS are “headed” our way to teach us to loom knit hats! We’ll supply everything you need to learn and create your very own hats…you’ll even go home with your very own set of looms to continue your hobby.
We are very proud to host this wonderful ministry. I hope you will take time to visit their website (click on logo above) and learn more about their work. We hope that this class will not only give you a fun new hobby (get started on those Christmas gifts early!), but also inspire you to give.
HOTHEADS has a goal of 3,000 hats they would like to donate in the fall to people in need around the world. Come to this class, learn how to make the hats and you can contribute to that number! In fact, here’s a little encouragement for you…for every 5 adult sized hats you donate to HOTHEADS through Easely Amused, we’ll give you a gift certificate for a FREE class (limit 3 per family). We’ll have more information on this available the night of the class…
